The tale of Granola! by Ester’s
Is Merriam-Webster’s definition enough to
illustrate granola?
We don’t think so!
Ester’s Granola caters the Best Granola in
Maryland to give you an amazing taste. But what is Granola? Merriam-Webster’s
defines granola as “a mixture typically
of rolled oats and various added ingredients (such as brown sugar, raisins,
coconut, and nuts) that is eaten especially for breakfast or as a snack.”
This seems straightforward, but there is so much about granola to know.
The story of Granola!
Fabricated in Dansville, New York, Granola
gained popularity by crossing many stages. The story started in 1863 when Dr.
James Caleb Jackson created Jackson's cereal by crumbling graham flour &
baking it. Similarly, a mixture of oatmeal, wheat flour, and cornmeal was
created by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg which was also known as Granola.
After that, Layton Gentry came up with the
upgraded recipe for modern granola. In 1972, the first major commercial granola, Heartland Natural Cereal was introduced
by an executive at pet milk. Since then, granola has been touching the heights
in the business industry.
